Backbeat Thunder

Tenth Anniversary Edition ~ 1:24 scale

Backbeat Thunder retains his magnificent presence, though now smaller than the original 2008 1:12 (classic) scale sculpture.  This draft horse gelding is not breed specific and will look stunning in a full range of colors and patterns.  Customizing of the mane, tail and leg feathers is allowed. Time payments for orders of more than one resin are available; individual arrangements must be made directly with Lynn, please refer to the Policy Page for specific terms.

This resin is being cast to order, production times vary. Please inquire for an estimate of the current casting/shipping schedule.

A $25.00 non-refundable deposit is required at time of order.  The deposit will be applied to the balance, which is due only when your order is ready to ship.  If you wish, you may choose to pay in full at the time of ordering; a $25 service fee will be deducted from a refund should the order be cancelled.

Castings will be shipped in the sequence in which orders are received.  After placing your order you will receive an email from me with an estimated date of completion.  Currently (as of September 17, 2018) estimated delivery is in early 2019.  However, as of Sept. 17, we are ahead of schedule in shipping; orders that were originally estimated to go out in mid-October have already shipped.

Sculpted in 2008, Backbeat Thunder has been a favorite of collectors through the past decade.  Originally released at “classic” (1:12) scale in March 2009; 35 unpainted pieces were sold in that year, the artist kept 15 for herself to paint. Of those only four were painted and sold; then 10 unpainted pieces were sold in 2011. In celebration of Backbeat Thunder’s 10th anniversary the original sculpture was reduced to 1:24 scale through the magic of 3-d digital imaging and printing.  That 3-d print was cleaned and refined, then a conventional silicone production mold was created to produce solid cast polyurethane resins.  The resin castings have wire supports in the legs.
