There are two key elements in my sculpture, I believe — expressive personality and a 3D snapshot of brilliant movement. Ignacio is a fine exemplar of both.
Ignacio has loads of personality with his funny little lip twitch and kind, earnest eyes.
The “termino” movement, so distinctive of the Peruvian, is particularly fascinating to me. That dramatic outward swing of Ignacio’s front leg originates at the scapulohumeral joint of the shoulder as the horse glides along in a lateral gait. Add in fiery “brio” and you have hypnotic poetry in motion.

Ignacio is cast in white polyurethane resin with steel alloy tempered wire supports in his legs. The photos here show the master model which was painted with primer. Your resin will arrive unpainted, a clean canvas for a multitude of beautiful colors.
